Oil & Gas

Carbon Emission Management, Carbon Credit
& Digital Twin Solution for Oil & Gas Asset & Process

Due to the pressing need to reach Net-zero CO2 emissions by 2030/2050, Oil and Gas companies are exploring innovative technologies and Low-Carbon fuels to Decarbonize their existing facilities and incorporate them into new Greenfield projects. This requires significant Investments in Process Technologies, Equipment, and Control systems.

The energy transition is crucial in reducing CO2 and other emissions throughout the entire upstream and downstream Oil and Gas Supply Chain.

Hydrogen Generation becomes more prominent with the following methods &technologies to use as a fuel instead of Natural Gas

The O&G Plants are utilizing Carbon capture technology in both Upstream production and Downstream Refineries & Petrochemicals. Many existing O&G plants are adopting Post-combustion Carbon Capture and utilization and storage (CCUS) and incorporating digital technologies to Improve Energy Efficiency and Maximize CO2 Recovery. The use of Fossil Fuels such as Natural Gas and Pet Coke is being replaced with Low-Carbon fuels like Hydrogen (H2).

Digital twin technology is being implemented to improve energy efficiency and maximize CO2 recovery by modeling and enhancing existing control systems. Hydrogen and CO2 are being utilized as fuels for power generation instead of traditional methods, with Pilot plants testing the use of H2/CO2 turbines and Ammonia as a fuel in combustion boilers instead of coal or pet coke.
